Secretary - Arkan Somo

 

Arkan Somo, 44, is a gas-station, market and restaurant owner and runs a consulting practice. For seven years he was president and CEO of the California Independent Grocers & Convenience Stores. Somo lives in El Cajon. He was a founding member of the Literacy First Charter School and has served on the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District Citizens Bond Oversight Committee and has volunteered countless hours to many other boards and community organizations. Mr. Somo has been an active Board Member of the San Diego County Crime Commission and was elected Secretary in November 2008.
